If you haven't heard them, you should give them a listen. They are awesome live. Very good stage presence.
Here's what I'm currently listening to: [link]
Anyway. I don't know quite what to write about. I don't really WANT to complain but...I've been wating to rant about my drawing class today and I haven't yet...
I would have been more polite except my professor really made me angry. I get it that he is there to critique our work. Well when you spent 12+ hours on something, and worked extremely hard, I think you kind of grow attached to what you were working on.
I accept contructive critisim. It really doesn't bother me. However, what he was saying was not constructive at all. It was degrading and rude. Not just about my work, but about all the others. Things like, "This entire class is a joke, I can't believe not one of you came out with something worthwhile."
Clearly, it is worthwhile if you feel the need to take time out of MY day to bitch about it. If it were indeed NOT worthwhile, he could have simply dismissed class and let us go about our daily lives. But no. In between me working full time and having other classes to work on like Broadcasting which I have to go film stuff for, he wants eight hours of out of class work. Okay. That's not too bad I suppose. Time goes by relatively quickly when you're working on something like that. Or it does for me.
It was just so rude of him though to say all those things. And not one bit of it was constructive or helpful. He just ranted about how much all of our works sucked and how he could come up with ONE better idea than if three of us were to think of something together. I did not learn how to better the work so it would meet his grading standards, nor did I learn exactly what it was that he didn't like about it...he was just so rude. I wanted to yell at him, but I didn't. And it sucks because he's got tenure =.-.=
Oh well. Another day rolls on. It's not too bad today, I'm going to dinner with a new friend I made at work, then it's off for filming my broadcasting assignment. Hopefully that will be fun. I have not been able to use the field camera yet *excited*
Listen to The Higher!
Oh yes. And this statement always makes my day immediately better:
I'm going to seee Miyaaaavi! XD ZOMGI'MSOEXCITED I'LLPROBABLY MAKE A COMPLETE IDIOT OF MYSELF hahaha
I hope I can set aside this anxious feeling when I meet him. He's my hero and role-model. And he's pretty =3 That too. Hopefully one day I will be able to play guitar as well as him, and be able to stay as upbeat and happy-go-lucky as him and spead his message to others! Come on, Ko-Miyavi~! Let's all go out and give a big Peace Sign and spread the Ko-Miyavi way!!!
